A man has been arrested after three women reported that they had been assaulted at a tattoo parlour in Salford.

Police received a report in November this year that a woman had been sexually assaulted at the premises.

Three victims are now being supported by specialist officers.

A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of sexual assault.

He remains in custody for questioning, Greater Manchester Police said.

Sergeant Simon Judd, of GMP Salford division, said: Sexual offences often have a lifelong impact on victims and Greater Manchester Police is committed to investigating reports thoroughly.

Whilst a man is in custody, our investigation is ongoing and I would encourage anyone with information that might help us with our enquiries to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.

I would like to reassure anyone who comes forward that information will be held in the strictest confidence."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 5386, quoting incident number 1885 of 17/11/19; or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
